Confused

I've been praying to the Lord almost daily asking Him to make her realize that we are meant to be together and for her to come back to me. I've been asking the Lord to show me a sign that there is hope for a new beginning with her.Then all of a sudden she unexpectedly texted me asking if we can be friends. I was totally caught off guard that I had to call a friend to ask her what does it mean when after more than a month of no communication your ex suddenly asked if you can still be friends?

Should I say yes or tell her flat out that maybe later but not now because the wound is too deep and it will take time to heal. Is this a sign from God telling me to accept this friendship for now and I'm not accepting it? Or is she concerned about me and just wants to know if I'm still okay so that she can be at peace as well after all the pain she inflicted to me?

I  just read the Purpose Driven Life day 20 (about the same time when she texted me. What a coincedence!) and it said that we should restore a broken relationship. We shouldn't wait for the other person to reach out to us, instead we can first reach out to them no matter who is at fault (this is not the actual words). That made me think if the Lord is asking me to reach out to her no matter what happened since because I love her even if she doesn't love me back anymore. sigh...

I have forgiven her and I hope she has forgiven me. Perhaps we could start out as friends again. I'll pray to the Lord to ask Him what should be the right thing to do....
